Conferences

Conferences have played a key role in guiding the work of RAN since its inception. In fact, the body was born when delegates got together in August 1982 after an international seminar on reading hosted by the Institute of Education of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

In thinking about how best to talk about RAN’s conferences and their place in the life of the association, individual members and partnering chapters, we should see each conference as a gathering of people seeking to learn from experts and each other, renew old friendships and once again be reminded of why we are part of RAN.
