INTERCONTINENTAL COMMUNITY SERVICE – As an intercontinental community service project, last spring students at CDS held a faculty luncheon fundraiser. The proceeds were used to purchase art supplies to create Zulu bracelets and necklaces.
The students, faculty, and parents of the Thabisile School in South Africa made the cultural jewelry, which was recently brought back to New Jersey by CDS’ very own eighth grader, Nicky Vanech. The jewelry will be sold as the final part of the project, and the proceeds will be used to fund an educational need at the Thabisile School.
